Do your mutual funds own the same shares?

Add the funds you hold. This page counts how many of the same companies they hold between them — nothing more. It does not rate your funds, does not say how many you should have, and does not suggest what to do. आप जो fund रखते हैं, वो जोड़िए। यह पन्ना सिर्फ़ गिनता है कि उनमें एक ही कंपनी कितनी बार आती है। न कोई रेटिंग, न सलाह।

Questions people ask

What does "overlap" mean here?

Two funds overlap in a company when both hold it. For each shared company this page takes the smaller of the two weights — if one fund puts 8% of its money in a share and the other puts 3%, then 3% is the part that genuinely sits in both. Added up across every shared company, that is how much of the two funds is the same portfolio under two names.

Where do the holdings come from?

From each scheme's own reported portfolio, as published by the fund house and supplied through our data source. Portfolios are disclosed monthly, so the figures are as at the latest disclosure date, not today. Nothing here is estimated or modelled.

Why does it ask for amounts?

It does not have to. Amounts only change one figure: the combined weight of a company across everything you hold. Without them, every fund is counted equally, and the page says so where it matters. With them, each fund's weights are scaled by its share of your total — which is the true figure.

Is a high overlap bad?

That is not a question this page answers, and anyone who answers it without knowing your goals, your timeframe and your tax position is guessing. What the page gives you are the counts. What they mean for you is a conversation to have with a qualified adviser or your mutual fund distributor.

Is my data safe?

Nothing you type is sent to us. The fund names you pick are used to look up public scheme data; the list itself, and any amounts, stay in your browser and are gone when you close the tab. There is no sign-up and no account.
